Renewable energies
Since the end of 2010 we have been employing solar power generated from the photovoltaic systems on our hall roofs. This enables us to generate roughly 40 percent of our energy requirement from renewable sources and save some 840 tonnes of carbon dioxide every year.

Transparency and responsibility
When producing our high-quality Christmas tree glass decorations and other products we rely on raw materials and packaging materials that have been carefully selected by our development department. Materials are meticulously scrutinised for aspects of safety, sustainability, and quality.

Carefully made and packaged
A product that has been manufactured according to such high requirements also deserves the appropriate packaging. We therefore keep a close eye on the environmental friendliness and sustainability of materials in the packaging selection process: We mainly use polyethylene for plastics and recycled cardboard for our folded boxes and cardboard packaging. Additionally, almost all of our Christmas decoration packaging is also designed for storage purposes. This preserves resources, is practical and keeps all your ornaments safe until the next festive season. We also place great emphasis on environmentally friendly production. Naturally it fulfils all legal requirements on product safety, work safety, and production safety. We also make sure that we save continuously on electricity and water and avoid waste.

At home in Germany
As part of the Brauns-Heitmann family, we at KREBS & SOHN regard ourselves as a German, medium-sized enterprise with a long tradition. This means we produce locally in order to support Germany as a working and business location.
